About Me

i'm dealing with this whole grown up thing in bits and pieces.
having a dog means you are constantly worried that you are not doing enough for it. then you are reminded about the things you are not doing for yourself. and your mother. it also means you get outside a lot more and get to appreciate the subtleties of life at a walker's pace. when i fix up the bike, it will be at a biker's pace.
I like being shiny with my sister at all times of the year.

My Interests

soft tactile contact between labium superiorous/ inferiorous and the lower cervical vertebrae (C7). kung fu, dancing, vivid colors, still pools of water, my sistas, the rocky intertidal, blatant self-delusion, feeling, being, striving, learning puppy care/training. listerine mint strips, cilantro--mmmmmm, citrus everything (not listerine strips), 50/50 bars, drink experimentation.

I'd like to meet:

People who have a love for the ivy creeping from the 2 overpass on Riverside Drive.
folks that can nerd out on stuff. honesty with yourself is important--i'm working on that one, too. interest and concern, but not fanatacism, for the world around you with occasional to regular action on such concern is a plus.

~~and can we learn to enjoy the small things in life? obviously, there's the big picture and there are a lot of awful things in the world, but there are a lot of good things and people in our lives every day. don't let those beautiful things pass you by.~~ i'm still looking for my succulent and cactus plant mentor. I work in non-profit donor development and i'm interested in finding out more about local orgs that focus on pre-teen/teen girl self-esteem/empowerment project. Something like Girls, INC, Girls on the Run, etc. All helpful information is appreciated. Thanks!

Reading through puppy/dog books--yes one of them promotes learning Doggish. you know you love it. looking forward to catching up on Mr. Sedaris this summer.
