I have shot on everything from 35mm to pixil vison. I live, eat, and breath film, D.I.Y. sensibility; if I can't get my hands on it I'll build it from scratch.I was on the swim team in high school and had phone calls from scouts for college but was set back by heart and brain surgery at 17 years old. Near death experiences teach you that life is too short to do anything but follow your dream.I've been a writer since I can remember, always telling the "bigger" fish story in grade school. I watched "Full Metal Jacket" when I was 8 and when other kids wanted to be firemen or doctors, I wanted to be a door gunner on a hellecopter.I wrote my first screen play at 19 years old, my sophmore year in college as an English major. I realized two things; 1. No one reads books anymore, and 2. The only way to guarentee seeing my work on a screen is to see it through to the end myself. And that's what I did. From that point on I never looked back.In film school I shot short films, crewed productions from holding boom to producing, but I spent a large portion of my time using the schools resorces to write, shoot, edit, and animate my first feature film.Since working with Continuum Pictures for the last five years, I've been on the ground floor of a young blossoming film company and been a part of seven features, from script writing to editing. Noticing a need for a sister company that handles more Independant projects, I founded Film Plane Entertainment in 2007. In only a year, we have produced award winning short films as well as co-produced two features with Continuum Pictures.My goal: Make films that are cutting edge, push the envelop of Cinema, and tell a good story.They say the golden age of film is over but I feel there is still a lot of ground to break. It has only been 112 years since the first motion picture cameras were created, but from an evolutionary stand point, film is still in its infantcy.We stand on the shoulders of the great cinema masters. It would be a disservice to their respect and achevements if we did anything less tha follow their lead and take our craft as fare as inovation will let us.
