About Me

DATGUY Productions. Thank you for your support!

Datguy has two massive new tracks on Baroque Records available exclusively on Beatport! These intensely emotive remixes were inspired by originals from the band Iris, and feature the captivating vocals of Reagan Jones, twisted samples from synth genius Andrew Sega, and of course major production work by Datguy. After D:Fuse featured “Lands Of Fire” on his XM radio show, he had this to say, “Just wanted to let you know that I love the track...Great vocals and production”. Go to the the Beatport player below to check them out!
Baroque Records is considered the top electronic music label by many of the worlds best DJs, and we are extremely excited and honored to be a part of their family. A BIG Thanks to everyone for all the support!

Update: Some reactions to the records!!

Andy Moor - "Both super tracks"
Matt Darey - "Appetite is quality"
Deepsky - "Both tracks are awesome, great production, songwriting and engineering."

Huge thanks to everyone for the support!

’Purpose’ is the perfect track if you want to get a floor movin’! A progressive, main room monster with nice fat analog basslines sprinkled with enough high and mid-range goodies to make your night a memory you’ll never forget. Datguy’s ’Accidental Mix’ is a sneaky, chunky, speaker bumpin’ head bobber. It’s great for the more intimate, dark dance floors. ’Purpose’ is the best of both worlds!

’Eardrum’ is a phat, breaks killer with a hint of tasty 4x4. Sick grooves accompanied with precision engineering and production make this track stand out from the rest. The ’Disco Nap Mix’ is a sexy, 4 to the floor banger that’s sure to tingle the senses. Sweet vocals lay a backdrop for intricate ear candy and gooey low end. Again, precision engineering make these two releases tops!

BIO:

Fresh faced and fired up, the production duo Datguy emerged onto the scene as top producers and high energy, dance floor moving DJs. Their productions have found their way onto some of the biggest compilations of recent years, movie scores, and a choice variety of labels.

Tony and Geoff came together in a small suburban town just outside Dallas, TX. Using only borrowed equipment and limited knowledge, two minds became one to grow into the accomplished producers they are today. Their first record came out under the moniker Liquid Pulse on Illmatic Records which was followed by releases on Sony (Malaysia) , Baroque, Tao Recordings, Lobotomy Records, Renaissance, System, Quarterlife, dPulse, Domestic, Diffusion, and more. They have produced remixes for The Commodores (Universal / Motown / WishFM), the New Line Cinema Film ’Domino’ (Domestic / Wish FM / King Solomon), Talvin Singh (Boom the film, India), Iris, Pete Van Riot, Chris Brickler and many others.

Breaking into film, Datguy licensed music to Bulletproof Productions’ ’Loaded’. The action packed film features ’Spicy’, a massive track that sets off the club scene, as well as various other tracks that support key scenes in the film. You can find these and two scored scenes included in the DVD extras, available at Blockbuster and Netflix. In addition, Datguy’s collaboration with Chris Brickler, the Emmy nominated producer / director of the documentary ’Song of Songs’ , is featured in a new short film entitled ’The List’ by the talented Mikki Willis.

Geoff and Tony have also come together to form Freq1see; a diverse label dedicated to exposing fresh and unique artistry. Focusing on Electronica and Hip Hop, their first few releases feature Datguy along with long time friend and super hot MC, Voicerock, as well as up and coming artists Alex Pearce and Beatnursery. Stay tuned as Datguy showcases many fresh and cutting edge productions on Freq1see.

Datguy is a member of the New York Chapter of The Recording Academy and BMI

Riotous beats from down under explode from Aussie producer Pete van Riot, who is dropping his new electro bomb-track Elektronic onto the global scene. This peak-hour hit will put the bounce into any dancefloor with its proper electro bassline sketching scorched patterns across 2 octaves, while a luminous square-wave lead synth stutters and bends its 5th patterns into your skull. A distorted unison pad in the breakdown ups the ante and slams the track into place and into your face. New York producer/remixer Datguy takes a smoother progressive approach to the track, yet muddies is up with plenty of grimy distorted electro bits and buzzy sustained synths - lots of chuggy valleys and noisy peaks throughout this excellent, moody interpretation

Datguy has teamed up with 3kStatic on two bangin new remixes.Ma-Ma-Ma Belle feat P. Huxley (Datguy Remix) The Big Space (Datguy Remix)The Ma-Ma-Ma Belle single featuring former Electric Light Orchestra member Parthenon Huxley, released in the UK, debuted at 3 on the Rock/Indie charts at Juno and 10 at Rhapsody and appears on the album Voodoo Science. The album debuted at 2 on Beatsource in the Leftfield genre. The Big Space remix has also been receiving major support charting in the top 15 at the Release record pool. Here are some reactions from Balance and Release:Darin Epsilon - "Very nice cruncy bassline...Everything is clean and clear" JPunch - "Very cool, original and fresh sounding. Nice Mix!" Deep C (Tigerhook Corp) - "It's def deep space. Love the breakdown"
