Minister Patricia Gainer (affectionately known as Pat) was born to the late Patrick Knollen and the late Willie Mae Gainer in Greensboro, North Carolina. She is the second of five children (Shawn, Kenishia, Joseph, and John) and was raised by her grandparents Mr. Mack and Mrs. Hattie B. Gainer in a loving home where they faithfully attended Trinity A.M.E. Zion Church. It was during her early years at Trinity that she was a member of the Junior Usher Board, the Children’s and Youth/Young Adult Choir, Acolytes, Buds of Promise Children’s Ministry, Methodite’s Youth Ministry and the NuJoi Liturgical Dance Ministry.Patricia graduated from Southeast Guilford High School in June 1998 and went on to pursue higher education at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Throughout her college career, Patricia nurtured her God-given talent for music and established herself as a vocal force to be reckoned with by standing as the campus and community premiere soloist (such events include Greesnboro Alumni chaper of AKA Luncheon where she served as the headliner, Workers Conventions soloist, and the soloist for the nuptials of the former Tiffany Hughes (The daughter of News Woman Sandra Hughes) just to name a few. Patricia also was a member of the University Choir and a soloist at programs far too numerous to mention. She graduated from NC A&T State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Performance (Vocal Concentration)and then proceeded to move to Charlotte, North Carolina to further pursue a potentially prominent career in music. While in Charlotte she sang with such greats as LeCresia Campbell, LeJuene Thompson (her cousin), gospel great Luther Barnes,Desiree Coleman-Jackson,Bishop Brian D. Moore, Elder Martina Echols, and many other gospel trail blazers and vocal dynamites. It was during her three year stay in Charlotte, N.C. while under the spiritual leadership of Bishop Brian D. Moore at Life Center Ministries of Charlotte that Patricia accepted her call to ministry and decided to pursue it full-time, ministering as the Lord instructed her. While at Life Center, Patricia served in many organizations such as Stepping Out on Faith step team (Where she served as the step master), The Life Center Mass Choir, The Life Center of Charlotte Praise and Worship Team, Intercessory Prayer Ministry (Prayer Warrior), and many other organizations.In June of 2005, Minister Gainer was lead back to Greensboro NC by the Lord for the purpose of ministry, which is where she presently resides. She preached her initial sermon at Trinity AME Zion Church in December 2005 and was liscensed as a minister of the AME Zion church in June 2005. She is currently attending Hood Theological Seminary in Salisbury, North Carolina where she is pursuing her Masters Degree in Divinity, while traveling throughout North Carolina and surrounding areas ministering under the power and authority of God. She has also currently been afforded the opportunity to sing background for the anointed Melvin and Tunesha Crispell.Upon completion of her Master's program, Minister Gainer will embark on the greatest mission of her life in Charlotte NC.
