I have been creating music since 1998. In the beginning it was FT2, then IT, Dreamstation, Psycle & now I'm moving to EnergyXT .
Aavepyörä was originally a collective of people, and we released our music together under the same name, altough the tracks were mostly individually made. Along the years, people moved on to other things in life (check out Tomi's band Sydän, sydän , for example!), and I am now the only active member in Aavepyörä, the last three albums have been made by me alone.Mostly I have been doing oldschool goa & acid influenced quite hard trance music, but I've still been always also interested in incorporating lighter, more natural soundscapes into my music. For example I have remixed Gjallarhorn and Falsobordone , two bands that friends of ethnic & medieval music should not miss out!I want my music to be uplifting and colourful, it always makes me feel great when I hear that I can move people (literally or figuratively!) with my creations :) I believe that music should always be crafted with the heart and not the mind... To this day I still haven't studied any theory, I always work by my ears alone, and that's how I originally learned to make music too: just playing around in software until I invented both musical scale and rhythm by accident ;) Music is also a source of energy, and I sincerely hope that my music will load the spiritual batteries for all the people listening to it!
Currently I'm very much interested in making my sound more organic & living, and also finding other new directions after making goa trance for so many years.
I'm studying historical crafts full-time now, and working every day with different natural materials and traditional craft methods. So what better time to have a small creative pause, and let some ideas grow in the heart (:
