About Me

Britain’s original magazine for men is set to return to the UK market with an intelligence, style and panache not seen since its glamorous rise throughout the 60s and 70s.
Launched in London in 1965 by Bob Guccione, Penthouse
quickly grew to become one of the best selling magazines in the world. Never afraid to push boundaries or voice an opinion its notoriety was established by becoming the first magazine in the UK to publish images containing full frontal nudity. Irreverent, humorous and appositely incisive it became known as much for the high standard of its writing as it did for showcasing the most beautiful women in the world. Writers and contributors included such diverse literary and cultural icons as Robert Graves, Germaine Greer, Stirling Moss, Pete Seeger and Alan Coren. Dubbed the magazine of sex, politics and protest no other title was able to keep pace with broad range of subjects covered by this premier title. One of the first magazines to herald and support the sexual revolution of the swinging 60s, complimentary copies were handed out in first class lounges at airports worldwide and it went on to be published in more than 11 countries in several languages.
After a decade of decline, and more than a year since it was last published in the UK, Penthouse is set to return with a crack team of journalists and eroticists assembled by lifestyle publisher Trojan.
The team is to be headed up by newly appointed Editor Stu Messham, who has over ten years experience in the industry, having been integral to the transformation of well known men’s lifestyle title ICE MAG, of which he was Deputy Editor, and other market leaders such as Hotdog, he has accepted the enviable challenge of relaunching Penthouse for a 21st century audience.

“We aim to provide information tailored to perfection, everything a man of 2007 needs to know. If it wasn’t for the UK Penthouse British men would still be having sex with the lights out and wearing pants made of wicker. This magazine started a sexual revolution back in the 60s and now it’s back to guide you through the naughty-naughties. Our message to the lads mag market is simple;
Penthouse Magazine
is designed for grown up men, not lads.”
He is joined by erotic impresario Timon, who has spent the last two years revamping and reviving The Erotic Review, Great Britain’s Naughty Authority, as its Editor-in-Chief.

“The problem today is that porn is a hamburger, available on every street corner, it fills a hole but it is just not nutritious. I have always sought the erotic equivalent of Boeuf Bourguignon in a world unfortunately filled with ‘Vagitarians’. We at Penthouse wish to engage in a well thought out, expertly prepared meal; a feast for the body and mind, full of taste and visual appeal. We are looking to provide sexual soul food, nourishment for those who understand that there is more to life than stretch-genital, flash-gash, split-beaver photography. This is a magazine for anyone who appreciates true feminine aesthetics, and wishes themselves to present a confident, sexual awareness in the 21st century world of seduction and sensuality. Through The Naughties the sexual revolution has come of age.”
The January of issue of the Penthouse Magazine 2007 includes sizzling nude images of world class beauties including covergirl Lauren Pope, a regular report from porn star Ron Jeremy, exclusive interviews with the cast of controversial new film Shortbus, with Howard Marks and Germaine Greer, new erotic fiction from Mitzi Szereto, features on Donnie Brasco, Mick Rock, Kevin Smith, Fail Safe Sex Tips, wide ranging sports reportage from Soccer to Poker to Golf and the glamorous Cannonball 8000 as well as news and reviews on the latest from film, fashion, music, celebrity and men’s lifestyle. Everything a man damn well needs to know to survive in the 21st century.

Stu Messham, previously Deputy Editor of ICE, is now Managing Editor. Stuart can be reached on and [email protected].
Timon .:., previously Editor in Chief at The Erotic Review, is now Erotic Editor. Timon can be reached on and [email protected].
Trojan Publishing produce many of the better known lifestyle magazines in the UK including, Erotic Review, Attitude, Hotdog, Front, ICE, Golf Pages, Flush, Women’s Fitness, Penthouse, Forum, FRM and many others.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Angels, faeries, princesses, pixies, temptresses, seductresses, kittens, goddesses and vamps. Women who understand that sensuality is less about flashing your genitals than it is about flashing your smile. The power is in the eyes, not the nipples. Sexuality is not to be flaunted but achieved. Anyone who knows that anticipation and desire are far more attractive than everything on a plate. Lovers, Lotharios, troubadours, poets and gents. Men of the 21st century who believe in seduction of the mind before the body, who wish to worship the true feminine aesthetic, the goddess within every woman, and in return be worshiped for their true manhood and not simple boyish wants.
