Back 20 years ago, he discovered the electronic sounds and DJing. After some time spent among post-punk bands, he came back to the electronics in 1995 thanks to the new Dub scene. The creation of E-Labs, featuring DJ Yari, gave birth to a new kind of music, mixing Dub, Trip-hop, and jungle / d&b.
D. Vincent is part of the Bazoline adventure from the beginning, featured on the launching compilation "Post-Industrial Grooves 1" (PIG001) in 2000.DR Olive is the boss of Bazoline Rec who previously released records on R&S Records & remixed ‘Chloé', Q-Burns Abstract Message, Hooverphonic amongst others.
In 2003, after a year of work, D. Vincent has produced an album in his own name, in which he draws inspiration from Letfield, Télépopmsic, Dreadzone, Kruder & Dorfmeister...and Depeche Mode to whom he is eternaly grateful. The album goes through trip-hop, psychedelic lounge, deep ambient house and film music, with a quiet electro touch and a dubby feeling.
He also produced one remix of "Heart Burns" track for his friend Doctorolive for Dirtydancing Recordings in Brussels in 2005
After his well-aclaimed (Trax Mag, Only 4 Dj's, Coda) debut album "D. Vincent" (PIG007) in spring 2003, he is back in a rather more dancefloor-electro mood with a 3-track EP to be released in Sept 2006. One of the B sides is actually the remix Vincent did for Doctor Olive’s "The End of the Beginning" (original track on Missive Music - Missive 023).
In accordance to Bazoline’s "labels partnership" new policy, this maxi-single is released under licence to Frankfurt-based Barbarella Music for a stronger and more efficient international promotion and distribution.
On stage, Vincent plays his music as a solo computer-jockey, and is part of the Bazoline label nights together with Doctorolive and other in-house artists for UrbanLives Team in Normandy. Also appeared on the Nördik Impakt II & IV international event.
