Influences: Last weekend PhDJ and Purple Sneakers DJs rocked all over the sold-out Splendour in the Grass festival in Byron Bay. Our favourite highlights included 6000 people going nuts and singing along to “Killing In The Name Of†in the mix up tent. Later there was a wild set at the official afterparty which had Kele Okereke of Bloc Party crowd surfing to the Sneakers sounds and requesting Bloc Party songs, while Alex of the Arctic Monkeys declared he’s a PhDJ fan and gave Vivienne Kinsgswood a nice peck on the cheek!
