So, over the past year and a bit PhDJ and the Purple Sneakers DJs (that’s DJ Fle, Vivienne Kingswood, Nick Findlay and the never-present Walkie Talkie) have done a lot of stuff. They’ve released and toured an all-Australian, all indie mixtape (it’s the one with Gotye, Muscles, Mercy Arms, Bluejuice and loads more on it – and you can get it on iTunes), they’ve played at Splendour in the Grass, Parklife, Falls Festival, Good Vibrations, the Great Escape, Playground Weekender, Pauhaus Festival as well as a load of other events and tours in between like the huge Purple sneakers New Years Eve, and also last year’s MTV Meet or Delete tour, and of course your favoourite house party Purple Sneakers every single bloody Friday night!!!Well, as a special little something to say thank you for being there through all the rough party times we want to say thank you by giving you a free MP3 download of the set that the Purple Sneakers DJs played on Triple J’s Mix up a couple of months ago. It’s a bit more of a dancy set this time featuring a bit of everything, indie, hip hop, crunk, electro, rock and baltimore courtesy of everyone from Macromantics, Pitbull, Urthboy, Muscles and Uffie to Talking Heads, The Beatles, Afrika Bambaata and Rage Against The Machine.
