I'm fast approaching my 35th year here on Earth and I promised myself that I'd never allow my age to surpass the number of countries I've been to. Well, now that I'm a family man with greater responsibilities than ever, it looks like this travel quest of mine will slow a bit...but it'll never cease. Damn the car payments, monthly bills, job, and poor excuses...find the time in life to ditch it all and see the world. Now don't go and ditch the family...just bring them with you. I like to think that a family who travels together stays together. Well, here's a "little something" about me: I call home here in the San Fernando Valley, in the city of Los Angeles. I work in a Los Angeles area hospital, with one of the best trauma programs in the entire country, as a Cardiology Technician. I never imagined that I'd end up working in a medical field (especially considering I'd always aspired to be a photo-journalist & hated science back in my school days).My wife and I have a 2nd home in Bangkok, Thailand & try to get back to Asia as often as possible. There was a time in my life when I'd have said my greatest accomplishment was backpacking around the world, half of which was entirely by myself, over the course of one year. In 2001 I quit my job and lived out of a backpack as I travelled around the entire world. Yes, I circled the globe...West to East. Surely that was a great accomplishment but now I'd say my true greatest accomplishment was starting my own family & raising our beautiful son McKinley Nile who is now 3 years old.Monthly Updates:March 2007: My wife & son will be travelling to Frankfurt, Germany where they'll start off on their backpacking adventure through Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Italy, France, Luxembourg, Belgium, Netherlands, & United Kingdom (Spain is possible). The big question is..will I be there too? November 2006: We were in Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, & Myanmar from mid October to mid-November 2006. I've posted photos in my blogs. It was taken by me on the Sky Train overpass at a busy Bangkok, Thailand intersection.
