He’s back! Prince DaJour, former host of BET’s (Black Entertainment Television) Rap City and Teen Summit is back. Prince DaJour was a legendary pioneering host and producer of BET's Hip Hop show Rap City. He assisted in paving the way for shows like 106&Park and Rap City w/ Big Tigger as well as many of today's leading rap superstars such as P. Diddy, Jermaine Dupree, Busta Rhymes, Notorious B.I.G., OutCast, Lil Kim and Mary J. Blige, just to name a few. He also was instrumental in blending together gospel artists such as Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams, Fred Hammond, Donnie McClurklin, J.Moss along with the best of Hip Hop and R&B artist on His award winning talk show, Teen Summit a forum that gave a voice to the youth, allowing them to address challenging issues that teens face everyday. Leaving the glitz and glamour of celebrity life, Prince Dajour forsook the entertainment industry for a season to embrace his calling in "Life Development" as a inspirational and motivational prophetic voice for all ages as well as the music industry.
Dajour is back claiming his rightful position on a national level to raise positive awareness about relevant issues. He is passionate to reach this generation, through touring the country via various platforms such as, seminars conferences, workshops including, forum settings, churches, television, radio and other media forms.
A multi-gifted Personality crossing all genres of entertainment.His journey has led him all over the United States touching lives through radio, television, and music. As a Television Host, Radio Personality, Music Producer, Lecturer, and Advice Counselor, DaJour has been able to creatively use his voice to reach people of all ages and share his message about the realities of life, the importance of developing life skills and discovering your purpose.
A native of Washington D.C. DaJour has come full circle by overcoming the many challenges that the inner city had to offer during his childhood. He turned the negative aspects into successful experiences and powerful positive messages and has made "sharing, teaching, and informing" through media, communications and entertainment a life goal.DaJour realized his passion for music and purpose when he was just 10 years old. He performed around the country with various gospel groups and was a vocalist and the drummer for the youth choir at his church. His talents made way for him to record several gospel records as well as make numerous appearances on television local and national including "The Ralph Peetey Greene Show" ( Movie-"Talk To Me" ).
DaJour attended McKinley Tech. High School and Duke Ellington School of the Performing Arts. He went on to become the host of Black Entertainment Television’s (BET) Rap City and the Award-Winning Teen Talk Show, Teen Summit. He received the 1997 NAACP Image Award for Teen Summit's "It takes a Village" featuring special guest former First Lady Hillary Clinton. He also received the 1998 NAACP Image Award for "Outstanding Youth Series", a 1996 Cable Ace Award, National Education Association Award and The Beacon Award- the highest award given by the Cable Television Public Affairs Association for the category of "Community Relations Special".
During his television success, radio discovered a new voice and DaJour became one of the hottest Radio Personalities in the D.C. area. He led the airwaves with his signature show on WPGC 95.5 FM which he co created Love Talk and Slow Jams’ as well as several other shows on the air and quickly became the voice of the night.
DaJour has come full circle yet again by yielding his radio and producing gifts to help and establish gospel artist such as William Becton and Cliff Jones ( Seven Sons Of Soul) in which he broke the hit single ‘Be Encouraged’ to national status. Now he’s back again to revolutionize inspirational radio with his talk show.Now for the third time with The Viacom / CBS Broadcasting Family he is the host of his own show, and everybody’s talking about ‘DaJour Live’ on Heaven 1580 WORLD WIDE. ‘Powerful, Practical and Passionate radio at it’s best.
