Make your own custom scroller sign at Blipsy.com! I'm Chaz. I wanted to make a myspace page to explain why Kiss should be in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. The band has been successfully recording and touring for more than 30 years. They have been cited as an influence by: Motley Crue, Anthrax, Weezer, Nirvana, Tool, Skid Row, The Ramones, Soundgarden, The Foo Fighters, System of a Down, Pantera, Poison, The Donnas, NIN, HIM, Garth Brooks, Alice in Chains, and, Stone Temple Pilots just to name a few. Kiss's live show is second to none. Their music has a recurring theme of indivuality. "We're not always winners. But this is the life we choose. We'll never change or rearrange. And we ain't ever goin loose." From All Hell's Breakin LooseI figure these are the reasons Kiss aren't in the Hall of Fame. 1. The band is all image. If this was true the band would have ended in 1983 when they took off the make up.Instead Lick It Up sold over a million copies. The nonmake up version of Kiss sold over 15 million albums,and they still played arenas. 2. They are just average musicans. I'm not a player, but I can point out why I like the songs. Deuce, Parasite, Cold Gin, Creatures of the Night, Fits Like A Glove and Domino have killer riffs. I dig the solos in Cold Gin, Calling Dr Love, Love Gun, Detriot Rock City, and God Gave Rock N Roll To You. Peter Criss's drum solo on Alive. Listen to I Still Love You and tell me Paul Stanley doesn't have an impressive vocal range. Since everybody in the orignal line-up sang, it gave their music varity. Besides Ringo Starr is just an averange drummer, and he's married to a Bond Girl. Ain't Rock and Roll grand. 3. They are all about the merchandising and money. They're not the only band that does it. Go to Spencers, you'll see a Nirvana lunch box next to Kiss action figures. There are a lot of bands in the Hall Of Fame that have sold tunes to commericals: Led Zepplin, The Stones, The Ramones, The Who, AC/DC, The Clash. They may not be as bad as Kiss, but their no better.
