COLOURBorn in Toronto Canada, Unknown Mizery began writing rhymes/poetry at the age of 13, as means of dealing with the oppressive/social conditions of the world in which we live in. To him, music has always been a way to bring people closer together and to cope with the various Pains and Joys that life Presents. Known for his smooth delivery, mizery has always been a Lyricist to test his boundaries, experimenting with other genre of music and consistently reinventing himself with various forms of art; such as Photography, Videography and literature. In the spring of 1998 mizery released a 12 inch (Childhoods end) alongside DJ Serious and D-Sisive. In the spring of 1999 was the follow up 12 inch (Trap Doorz) which was produced by DJ serious. The year 2000 was the year that Unknown Mizery released his his first street LP entitled The House That No One Built which sold over 10, 000 copies across the streets of Canada. 2001 was the year that the internationally distributed album (courtesy of grove attack) dim sum was nominated for a Juno. In 2002 mizery released his second street LP entitled Kashmir: Define Freedom? which has also sold approx. 5,000 copies in the streets of Toronto, while his third 12 inch with DJ Serious which was self titled unknown misery was distributed internationally. In 2003 he released his duo effort with Logikal ethix which was entitled It Will Fall, this album sold over 10,000 copies Canada wide. Finally, 2005 was the date that the poor man militia album was released on the street and over the internet and sold over 30,000 copies. Known for his charisma and elite tactics f guerrilla marketing, Unknown Mizery has gained recognition on Much Musics Much News; for persistent CD selling in the downtown streets of Toronto. Unknown Mizery has made many online and magazine appearances such as a one page write up in Californias URB Magazine, Peace magazine, Mic Check Magazine, HiphopCanada.com, Cinestar (Bollywood magazine), The Varsity, Websites across the globe, Television appearances for Unknown Mizery have included; Omni 2, Indo-canadian Idol, Bollywood Boulevard, Much News, Much Vibe, TVO, and many others. Unknown Mizery has also performed alongside; The Arsonists, Kamau, Point Blank, Maestro Fresh-wes (Blue Mountain, Coors light event), Mix-Master Mike (from the Beastie Boys), Bahamadia, Kardinal, and Not by Choice. Unknown Mizery is currently in his 2nd year at the University of Toronto, Studying Equity studies and political science. Mizery is also part of the Mutescreamz Mentaltainment Artist roster Along with Logikal Ethix, Travis Blackman, K.D.B, Tribesmen, PMM, Arkeologists, Plazma Crew, Kenyatta(Kal-Q-Lus) and SPIN.
