About Me

Layout by CoolChaserRev. Williams was born in San Francisco, California where he was raised in the church by two loving parents. As a boy he enjoyed being in Sunday School with his friends and fellowship with the saints. Away from church he loved sports, basketball in particular. However, at the age of 5 it was discovered that he had a birth defect in his heart that would end his life if he did not have surgery. Doctors said that he would not live to see the age of 19, but God had other plans. After a successful surgery and several years of a good education and biblical teaching under Rev. Frank Jackson in Oakland, it was at the age of 19 that Rev. Cecil transferred out of community college into San Diego State University, where he was not only distant from his family, but from the Lord as well. "Life" happened to him and his reaction was to seek pleasure for himself instead of for the Lord. After being kicked out of school and being "out there," the Lord directed Rev. Cecil back to church where the Lord directed him to First AME Church Oakland under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Harold R. Mayberry, who would become his father in ministry in the year 2000. Since that time he has become a proclaimer of the Gospel across denominational lines from Sunday morning worship, Bible Studies, Youth Revivals, Men's ministries, a Financial Healing Ministry and several workshops. The Lord has truly blessed him with a relevant word in the 21st century.
