Conforce is the moniker of 21 year old bloke from The Island of Terschelling. He is currently living and studying in Leeuwarden on the Academie voor Popcultuur, The Netherlands. He developed his passion for electronic music around the age of 10. It was in a summer that his father working as a forester was on a patrol in the eastern part of the island. He found a black colored tape who someone must have lost during a walk. When he took it home, he gave it to his son with the words “perhaps you could do something with itâ€. Not much later he bought his first taperecorder. The next thing he did was to put the tape in and take a listen. Soon there were all kinds of weird and freaky noises coming out. It attacked him. “What was this kind of sh*t?†he wondered. After that listen he did put it away in the closet - only for a very short while. He realised that this must have been the first serious house music he had been listening to. On the tape was Detroit orientated techno from producers like Orlando Voorn, Speedy J, Joey Beltram and Carl Craig who worked with the characteristic hardware synthesized equipment. Not much later his nephew from the urban city started sending him commercial and underground house music from the early/mid 90's ,wich he liked a lot.
Somehow this must have influenced the sound he is creating at the moment.
His sound has a lot of Detroit influences.At the end of 2007 his first 12" release saw the daylight, Rush Hour Recordings released 'Our Concern Ep' which got big support by dj's like Laurent Garnier, Josh Wink, DJ 3000 and DJINXX. Rush Hour is going to release more productions of Conforce in the next coming months.
