“Her songs express the compassion and courage of a spiritual activistâ€
- Dr. John Collins ND Portland Oregon, 2003Didi’s heart is set on one thing… to make a difference in the world and her music will do just that.Trained as a yogic nun in the Ananda Marga organization, her songs vary from universal spiritually uplifting works to more socially oriented ones inspired by the teachings of P. R Sarkar (Shrii Shrii Anandmurti) and her own life experiences. Her single “Children†is being released in Kingston, Jamaica in May for Child’s month. This is her first effort and is being released through Griot Music, a music publishing company founded by Jamaican Guitarist Seretse Small. The song unleashes Didi’s carefully worded lyrics about the precious value of our children and intertwines sensitive performances by some of the top studio musicians in Jamaica today. Produced by Seretse and Alex Martin-Blanken the song blends Didi’s stirring voice with a backdrop of infectious grooves and intricate harmonies. Didi is slated to perform the song on each day of the Jamaica Foundation for Children’s Expo 2004 at the National Arena from May 14-16 and at a UNICEF forum on education on May 5.Her clear as a bell voice is at once plaintive, mournful, full of hope and inspiration. The music will have you swaying and tapping your feet. All in all, a joyful experience.
October Rose (Director Synergy Yoga Centre Miami)Didi's music takes you straight to the heart center-a place where only Pure Peace, Unconditional Love and True Bliss exist. Her songs are written with all of humanity in mind- as we listen to her words, we are inspired to do our part to make this world a better place. Her beautiful music reminds me of the words of St. Augustine: “Let us sing a new song, not with our lips, but with our livesâ€.
