MyGen Profile GeneratorYo yo yo peeps, my name is Paul Abernethy & i've been a dj/producer for about five years now. Dont even ask me what type of music I DJ because I dont even know myself. I was originally on a strict diet of techno when I first started but now I dabble in a bit of everything, bouncing from minimal to breaks, to dirty house and even dirtier drum & bass. Ever since I seen Laurent Garnier for the first time, Ive been a strict believer that you can play any style of music in your set, as long as it's decent music. For about the past three to four years ive been djin all around my native Liverpool, as well as making the well earned trip to the likes of Blackpool, Manchester and Leeds to apply my trade. This has also led me to my exclusive residency at ONE ARMY in Liverpool. What can i say about this night...I dont think ive ever experienced a drum & bass atmosphere like it. Every one is always up for it and the dancefloor is never empty. Whether its Saturday night or a Thursday night, the place is always rammed with happy smiling faces! For a while I also put on a few nights of my own called Bada-BOOM, which was a sucessful little party. We had a wide range of guests including local dj's such as Voodoo's (quality Liverpool techno night) very own Steve Shiels, & more established dj's such as Phil Kieran (Shine Belfast, Bugged Out!). At the moment (oct 06) Bada-Boom is in a hiatus but ive been talking to a few people an trust me, its coming back bigger and better than ever!!! Production wise, Im fairly new to the game. Ive only really been making music for about a year or so. Again, I have no genre that i could pigeon-hole myself into, so each track varies. Ive got a few tracks that im really proud of, & they will be on myspace pretty soon. Right thats it. For now this is all ive got for my bio, but ill be updating it good an proper soon.
