About Me

INVIOLATE: 1. adj. Not violated or profaned; intact, free from violation, injury, desecration, or outrage.
Inviolate’s live show is a spectacle to behold: At the activation of the electronic pulse, a lone dancer takes the stage. The metal hybrid bellydancing movements draw the crowd closer and the rest of the band to the stage. As heavy and nimble guitar riffs begin to unfurl, it's apparent that something new and unique is being experienced. The high-energy drumming and thunderous bass lines dare the crowd to be still, and the powerfully melodic vocals demand attention. Each show seeks to engage and involve the audience, and leave them ready for more.
In early 2006, guitarist Bryon Brown (formerly of Bury Me Under) and vocalist/ electronic musician Kadria (formerly of Element 21) decided to create a band that would blend a heavy rock sound with electronic elements and melodic vocals. With a wide range of influences, a fresh and unique sound was created. After the addition of bassist Chris Farmer in late 2006, the band was christened Inviolate. The name summarizes the group's attitude towards the creation of music and group solidarity as untouchable and not to be violated by anything external.
Inviolate recorded their first EP in May 2007, with session drummer Chris Phillips (My Undoing), and set out to introduce themselves to the world. Already a fixture at numerous local shows, Kadria began to take her belly dancing skills to the stage with local and national acts such as SOiL, Odin's Court, Code*Atom, Colossick and helped Halcyon Way open Prog Power USA VIII. It soon became apparent that these skills would be integrated into Inviolate’s unique identity, and into their live performances. In late 2007, drummer/ sound engineer Luke Testa (formerly of Doomed Clowns & Fortitude) made Inviolate complete.Inviolate began playing shows in October of 2007. The high-energy live performances thrive on connecting with the audience, and the music promotes movement and audience participation. Inviolate has a sound that defies labeling, and they have already shared the stage with a diversity of notable bands including Haloscript, Dixie Duncan, Theocracy, A Lower Deep, and Synchro Nine Factor. Inviolate was the first act for Darkside Entertainment's new incarnation in the Three Bears Cafe in Marietta, GA and was invited to play the Atlanta Motor Speedway during race weekend in March of 2008.
"As a producer/engineer of all styles of music for the last 22 years, i've heard alot of things come and go. INVIOLATE rises above the mediocrity with their hard driving guitars, pulsing drums, intertwining electronics, and demanding female vocals. This is definitely one band to keep an eye on."
