Martina

Born in Durham, NC, she begin to have a love for music at a early age. Raised in the church it was only natural that her greatest influences would be some of the most impressionable gosple singers such as Sam Cooke, James Moore, John Kee, Vanessa Bell- Armstrong, and etc. No one noticed her talent until she was about 11 yrs old singing along with some of her favorite cds. At the age of 14, she joined friends in a school talent show, and never looked back. By 16, she was writing and producing songs for a local youth choir, and was surpised that other choirs were starting to sing her songs. That opened a whole new world for Martina and she began writing secular songs for friends, and decided to join a duo. The duo was signed to MikeCity's Unsung Productions by the time she reached 20, and when things didn't work out, she didn't give up, but relocated to Atlanta to be a songwriter. Where she was introduced to several industry prospects with hope of getting placements when she was told that she should consider be an artist, and to come back with a demo. It's just the beginning, and its already looking like a bright future.
