I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Describe yourself in 250 words or less...go!!! What can I put down in this tiny little box that would most accurately describe me. I guess I would start by saying that I like to think of myself as a nice guy, although I think most people like to view themselves in a positive light, which makes any opinion of myself biased and therefore not worth paying attention to. Still I have been told that I am nice. I am a bit high strung at times, my friends would say that is an understatement. I enjoy the company of others, good conversation, reading a nice book or seeing a nice film. I am interested in the arts, not so much politics, although I am not completely oblivious to the world around me. I work in finance as a contractor to the National Security Agency, which makes me a complete sell-out to the system...I know...but then again I have gay tastes and have to pull in the money to maintain them. I love eating out, cups of coffee, the summer and fall, and sitting in parks. I love dogs, am afraid of small enclosed spaces, and like to drink vodka and tonics on the beach. I really probably could ramble on about myself for hours, but you probably have already stopped reading this, and I am boring myself with the details of my life. If you would like to get to know me send me a message. I am always up for meeting new people. I will not accept random friend requests though, so please just write me something. Getting to know someone involves more than an electronic I want to be your friend request. I don't consider anyone a friend if I don't know their name. So be daring, say hello!!!

My Interests

Didn't we already cover this above?

I'd like to meet:

I would love to meet myself in 20 years, so future me could warn me of all the bad shit that will happen to me in the next 20 years, and I can work hard to avoid said events. Also the future me could give me good stock advice, and maybe throw me a bone and give me a few lotto numbers to ease things along. Oh yea, and friends etc are nice as well.

Music:

Oh man, my tastes in music are probably so out there that people don't want to know. I like a bit of everything. If I'm in a calm mood I like instrumental music, if I'm going out dancing I like a nice 80s synthesized track. I like mellow vocalists like Damian Rice, and I have tender spot in my heart for 1960s Motown, and R&B. And yes...sadly I do like the popish dance song every now and then.

Movies:

I can't fill this section in because I get emotional thinking about how I had to sell most of my DVD collection after my car accident last winter. Let's just say I like a mix of everything here as well. Who doesn't like a good indie flick...although my true passion is horror. I mean what more can you ask for than a bunch of big breasted girls getting naked and then hacked to death by a meat cleaver? Nothing!!!!

Television:

Food network all the way. I'm also in love with Grey's Anatomy...I know I swore I would never become a network drama junkie, but sadly I have.

Books:

Too many to list. If you come to my place ever you can check out my bookshelf.

Heroes:

My older sister, for never being afraid of herself. For breaking down barriers, living life the way she wants to, and always being strong. Love ya Laur.

My Blog
