About Me

Phased Reality has been actively involved in the UK dance music scene for the last ten years and has no intention of stopping now! He first discovered the joys of electronic music as a regular club goer, dancing the night away at various underground venues throughout the UK, cutting his musical teeth at the infamous Que club in Birmingham and taking in weird and wonderfull events such as Space Hopper, Ultimate Orange and Atomic Jam. However, not content with just dancing, he quickly moved on to DJ'ing and soon began playing out at a various venues around the country. His musical tastes have ranged far and wide, and during his career he has played everything from deep ambient soundscapes through to hard-as-nails acid techno and everything in between. After moving to London in 1998 to follow a degree in Cultural Studies Phased Reality, true to form, soon found a group of like-minded individuals and continued to develop his DJ'ing career. This included highlights at the now legendary Warp Experience parties as well as appearances at It's Alive!, Pendragon and Signs of Life to name but a few.
A fortunate meeting with producer team Easy UK inspired him to move into production and he quickly discovered a passion for writing and producing music. Over the coming years Phased Reality was lucky enough to get the opportuntiy to recorded music with some incredibly talented musicians including Philipa Joy, Stella Fairbain, Nat* and Larry Lush and continues to pursue working partnerships with these and many other musicians. His main focus has always been collaboration and Phased Reality loves nothing better than sharing the studio with anyone and eveyone who's prepared to sit in a stuffy room staring at a computer screen and occasionally doing a bit of singing or musical burps!
Currently Phased Reality is building a fully kitted studio at his rural home in Worcestershire with an aim to open up the facility to all his musical friends as well as local tallent. So watch this space for future collaborations!
