About Me

Halfway to Hazard is Chad Warrix and David "Dtox" Tolliver. Both hail from the coal-country of Eastern Kentucky, Jackson and Hindman respectfully, just outside of Hazard. They've been friends since grade school, each performing, making music and raising hell all of their lives.
The duo was formed while Dtox, a solo artist who was writing songs for industry giant EMI and Warrix, who was coming off a major label recording deal of his own with his band(Sodium), decided it would be interesting to take the stage together. Now three years later, they find their talents combined to form a duo signed to Mercury Records. Recording of their debut album is set to begin in February 06 -Byron Gallimore and Tim McGraw producing, with an anticipated release in '07.
Halfway to Hazard's A/R is directed by Brian Wright of UMG Nashville with representation by Christopher Washko of Fundamental Management and booking by Rick Shipp and Kathy Armistead of the William Morris Agency.
