PABLO'S BOOK
This book is relational and real. In this book, Pablo opens up about his life, his struggle & journey to find love. Just like many people, he suffered betrayal, insecurities, abuse, jealousy and confusion about what love really is.Many of us make decisions based on our emotions, whether they are happy, sad, or angry emotions. Sometimes we don’t realize that the decisions we make today, determine our tomorrow.
Pablo's Background
Pablo Contreras was born on July 15, 1974 in Cd. Mier, Mexico. He came to the United States in 1978 to Fairfield, TX. The oldest sibling of a family of 2 girls and 4 boys, Pablo graduated from Fairfield High School in 1994.
As a young boy Pablo dreamed of becoming a professional baseball athlete. In 1995-1996, he received a full scholarship to Calhoun State College in Decatur, Alabama, where he played under veteran Gary Redus of the Pittsburg Pirates and the Texas Rangers. His baseball dreams became a reality in the fall of 2000, when he signed his first professional minor league contract with the Harlingen White Wings of Texas and as a rookie, won his first professional championship series.
Side-lined by an injury in 2001, Pablo’s pursuit for that dream was questioned. He, then, laid down that quest for baseball success in exchange to finding his identity. During the course of that journey, it was then that Pablo realized there was more to life than what he had previously imagined. It was in that year in which Pablo found hope and discovered another passion, a passion to see healing, not only within his family, but also healing for all people throughout the world. Pablo received the calling to ministry as an Ambassador of Christ.Through this calling, Loyal Men was established in 2003, a ministry focused on fighting for a generation in need of deliverance and one free of traumatic hurts from the past. Pablo’s embark in the ministry has changed his life, that of his family, friends, and carries a potential to effect generations to come. He believes that Loyalty changes the Heart of a Man and Woman, conditioning the heart and mind. He is currently attending Hope Christian City Church in Colleyville, TX under the mentorship of Pastor Paul Cole of Christian Men’s Network. Pablo’s hobbies are traveling, exercising, meeting new people & writing.
