I'm going to St. Paul, baby!I have been elected by the Nevada State Convention to represent Ron Paul at the Republican National Convention. I am but a poor college student, so, although it is not an easy thing to accept, I am going to need some monetary help. Being that I am a true Conservative Republican, I will be cutting costs anywhere it's possible. So, although they have told us it will cost up to $5,000, I am only looking to raise $2,000, because I believe I can manage it on that amount.
Some background on me, to ensure you that I can be trusted: I promise to vote for Ron Paul and ONLY Ron Paul in Minnesota. I am knowledgeable on bylaws and Robert's Rules of Order. I have been working hard for Liberty for over a year now, and was even on the campaign payroll until our caucus business was finished in Nevada. I plan on going to St. Paul and doing whatever it takes to unbind McCain delegates and get Ron Paul's name on the ballot. This is something I cannot be swayed from.
Also, it's very important to me that I let you know that, although the "second part" of our convention WAS 100% LEGAL, we WILL have to fight to get it recognized, so there is a possibility that I may not be able to get into the convention as a delegate. In this case, I will still be going to St. Paul, but to Ron Paul's mini convention instead. HOWEVER, I don't feel it would be right to use this money toward anything other than what I have stated it is for, so in that event I will take every last donated dime and make sure it gets into the hands of other RON PAUL National Delegates who need it in order to represent Liberty at the National Convention.
..
Thank you sincerly for your help, however modest. I am committed to this fight, even if that means having to ask for help.
