Confessions of a Hack

About Me

Hi, I write stuff. If you want to know more about me in an authorial capacity, please visit my 'official' website at www.cjlines.com. My novel "Filth Kiss" is coming out shortly. Buy it. More info coming soon.In the meantime, pick up my latest short story in the Hadesgate anthology "Tiny Terrors" from Amazon or WHSmith or direct from www.hadesgate.co.uk- if you want to hear my voice (and hot British accent) talking about books and writing, take a listen to an audio interview with me conducted by The Bookfiend's Kingdom here: www.jellycast.com/directory/index.php?page=jellycast&id= 661- otherwise, hi. This is me. I live in London. It has taken me a long time to surrender to MySpace and I may one day write a more interesting profile. In the meantime, to maintain a semblance of content, I will occasionally blog about books I've read if they're really good, or really bad, or perhaps just if you've sent me a free copy for some reason. I also like movies rather too much; especially the ones other people don't like, it seems.

My Interests

Writing, books, movies, music, comics, exploding whales.

I'd like to meet:

OpAphid.

Music:

I like punk rock. And some other stuff occasionally.

Movies:

The Wicker Man, The Howling, The Cook The Thief His Wife and Her Lover, Audition, Onibaba, Re-animator, The Evil Dead, O Brother Where Art Thou?, The Thing, Wacko!, Blue Velvet, Prospero's Books, Zoolander, Ed Wood, Farewell My Concubine, Rouge, Night of the Living Dead, Marquis, Angel Heart, Betty Blue, Hackers, The Bird People in China, Dracula (1931), Salome's Last Dance, Ghostwatch, Hostel, Day of the Beast, Perdita Durango ... the list goes on and on and on...

Television:

Firefly, Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, Twin Peaks

Books:

Argh. Too many to list. I like lots of books. Melodramatic Victorian novels and cheap pulp horror from the 70s are my unlikely twin obsessions.

Heroes:

The Silver Surfer, Spiderman, Namor The Sub-mariner, Iron Man, Ghost Rider ... By and large, Marvel over DC, with the exception of Green Lantern and Swamp Thing. They rock.
