Welcome to Skrachiz & Skribbulz

About Me

Fisher-Price my first myspace page LOL. Let me start off by saying this........ I love digital imaging so if you reached this page your in the right spot. Allow me to break it on down. This IS Skrachiz & Skribbulz - a small digital imaging company. The history behind the name is quite simple. I have always loved designing things in the past on and off. Nothing serious, just played around with it on basic windows programs. I got heavily involved with digital imaging when I decided to go back to school and get my certificate. In spring of this year 2006 I entered my first art show. Although I did not win any prizes, I was still selected to be in the show out of the 600 some odd people who entered. Later on I got the buzz that the Southwestern Illinois College magazine entitled "Head 2 Hand" Was looking for submissions for their August 2006 issue. Both of the pieces I had submitted were selected and my work was put to print. After that, I then did work for The Melissa Project cd cover entitled "Reinvention". After this successful event, I then decided to go into business for myself designing for people. So, when I made it known in a sunday school room at our church that I had decided to develop a website to post my work and what it is that I do, a kid by the name of "Vin" blurted out scraches and scribbles. At first I admit I took it as a joke but then something in me said "WAKE UP"!!! and I then choose that name as not just the name of my website.... but as the name of my business overall. So I changed some words to create a slang term, developed a quite stunning if I do say so myself logo and Skrachiz & Skribbulz was born at a foot and a half long 100 pounds/100 ounces and growing daily. So now that you got the breakdown of the history, let me just give you a list of what it is I can do.Album/Cd Covers(my favorate), Logos, Posters, Digital Paintings, T-Shirt Designs, Webpage layouts(why not, I did my own.). I operate using Adobe Photoshop. So there you have it. Now also understand that this is something that I absolutely loooooove to do and because of that, my gift to you all is simply this... not to be pricey like most people you will find anywhere else. This is not a catch and it is something that I stand on. So as of right now, Skrachiz & Skribbulz is open for business. I will post my work as I go along so you all get a feel for the style of work that I do. So feel free to look around as things get posted around here and let me stimulate your mind. Thank you for visiting. -Doctor "Nay Nay" Skribbulz-

"IN THE BEGINING" is a section is of work that I did last year when I went back to school. "Bearing Much Fruit" made it to the 2006 Southwestern Illinois College/Schmidt Art Fair. I didn't win any cash prizes or anything like that but I was exited enough just to have a picture that was selected along with 186 others with artwork that would be hung on the wall for people to see. "LOGOS" Logos is something that I havn't really done much with as of yet. I kind of got the idea that went sort of like this... Grab business card, scan business card, redo the logo, and present the Idea. "PAINTINGS" I didn't start doing paintings untill it was close to the end of the 2006 spring semester. I just stayed up one night playing around on the computer and started playing around with this picture I had found which is the first one you will see in this section. The picture with the baby and the girl believe it or not was done using the program Microsoft Paint. After I got done, I just stared at it for about a half an hour drinking a glass of kool-aid like "I can't believe I did that". Though digital painting is something I love to do, sometimes its not easy. It has to be the right mood, the right time, right music, and the right picture from all different angles. I'm my own worst critic. "ALBUM COVERS" This is something I would really like to get more into. I did my first album cover for The Melissa Project entitled "Reinvention" which released for the public December 2006. She asked me for a Claude Monet idea. Im probably gonna get in trouble for saying this but at first I didn't even think I could pull it off but David slayed Goliath. Behold the result. "MYSPACE BACKGROUNDS" I got into doing myspace backgrounds when I sighned up for a myspace page myself and found a ton of websites where I was able get backgrounds. But after a week, I wanted my own background with my own picture and my own design. So when I got home, I took a few hours, played with some shapes, and came up with something that I really like. At the time I didn't have internet at the house. So, I spent a few hours at the school coming up with a simple code that would allow me to have the background that I wanted. I like to make people look good. So, I started to design pages for friends and other people. J-Traxx who is a producer for Lock em' Down Records just happend to be my first customer and things took off from there. "HEAD 2 HAND" In April 2006, I had some submissions for the Head 2 Hand school magazine from Southwestern Illinois College. I was working for the school at the time I got an email that was going around that submissions were being accepted. So like the art show, I said to myself "what have I got to lose?". Eager as I was, I had submitted 10 Pictures and two were taken. In August that same year the magazine was released.
