e.t. alma

a great fucking band!!

About Me

The story of e.t. alma started in 2000 as a pop/rock-band. This would not last long. Most of us in the band wanted to experiment and play a little heavier. The years went by and alma (as the band was called in those days) lost members and gained new ones. We gigged and we evolved. We got good response but we kind of fell in between the worlds of metal and pop. Both Mattias and I wanted to lead the band more towards the metal way so we started looking for that kind of people to fill the gaps and so we found ourselves with Samir, Lisa and Jocke.
Still our singer at the time was a soul & RnB kind of girl and her influences softened us up allot. For a while we even thought we liked it. But it grew annoying and so I took it upon myself to do more of the writing and the arranging of the songs. And finally we decided that we couldn't compromise anymore.
Luckily we knew someone who could fill up the big shoes that were left by our former vocalist (she might have been soft but she was good!). And luckily that someone was probably our greatest fan (although she thought we should get heavier. But that wasn't exactly a downside). So now We had a great band that for the first time sounded like Matt and I had envisioned years ago. And judging by the response we've gotten that vision is pretty fucking great!!
