SOUNDS OF ST. LOUIS

NOW IN DEVELOPMENT - UNDERWRITERS WANTED!

About Me

SOUNDS OF ST. LOUIS is currently in development. We are a half hour weekly television program showcasing the wide range of musical talent in the Greater St. Louis, MO area. Every week, we'll take a look at the music scene around the greater St. Louis area, tackle subjects that affect musicians in the area and interview some of the biggest names in music as well as introduce you to talented artists who make St. Louis their home. It's all about exposing and celebrating St. Louis' rich music heritage and giving you a glimpse of the stars of tomorrow.

Every episode of Sounds of St. Louis will feature a "cover story". This could be a famous act that visits St. Louis while on tour or it could be doing an expose of certain genres or talking about important issues.
Every episode will also showcase a local artist and their original music. Local artists will receive a profile/interview section and a chance to either show a video or perform one song up to 5 minutes in length.
Each week we will also profile a local St. Louis music venue, because that's where the magic happens. It's all about supporting and celebrating live music in St. Louis.
We're currently looking to shoot the pilot episode in the next few weeks. We already have some ideas about who and what we will feature. If the show is picked up, we'll be scouting for bands soon.
Sounds of St. Louis is produced and hosted by Jimmie Earls.
Jimmie has 20 years of professional playing experience and is currently the bassist for the St. Louis-based Black Sabbath tribute band Supertzar.
"St. Louis has a great music scene," says Jimmie. "It's sad that it really isn't promoted more on a local or national level. That's why I created the show."
Artists interested in appearing on the show should send their press kits to:

My Interests

Exposing viewers to all of the great, diverse music that St. Louis has to offer.

I'd like to meet:

We will be looking for artists in the Greater St. Louis area who perform original music. We will accept press kits in the near future - so record those demos now and get some promo photos taken!
Your press kit should include an 8" X 10" black and white glossy photo, a CD with no more than three songs (make it your best stuff!) or a DVD no longer than 10 minutes plus a bio and gig information. A link to your website would also be good. We hope to be scouting for bands as the show develops.
This will be a great exposure to showcase your talent. If your band has a MySpace page, add us to your friends to network with us. Please keep the material clean. If you can't perform a song without profanity, chances are we won't use you. More details coming...
The space below is reserved for personal friends, crew members, production personel and sponsors of the show. Wanna be on the list? Become an underwriter of the show!
