Ok...I am mostly interested in what other musicians are doing around the world. In particular, I am interested in the DJ space. In addition, to seeing what you are doing, I also like to listen to the mixes on the sites. I am working on some "stuff" with a friend. It will better reflect what I really like to do. I am very interested in mixing music. In Vermont, the Green Mountain State, there are no big clubs where one can plug in and do their "stuff". Burlington, Vermont is mostly a college town, with college type bars. It is very different from the big cities around the world . NEW: AS of 1/6/07, I purchased Band in a Box. What a great piece of software!
I just purchased a whole bunch of equipment to get started. I have a Yamaha MG 12/FX mixer, a Korg microKorg synthesizer, a Denon S1000 CD Player, a Boss Drum/ bass machine (DR 670), and a Korg EA-MKII. In addition, I use a laptop with PCDJ, and own an Ipod with over 5,500 songs. I am plugging into the stereo right now. As I am playing with all of these toys, I am looking at digital recording software. No, I am not an Ipod DJ!!. I am, however, an MP3 and CD DJ. Much easier to keep everything organized on a laptop, or burn to CD. I am not interested in vinyl whatsoever, but I like to see what folks do with it. I like special effects, synthesizers, and certainly have a wide range of pedals for my guitar endeavors. NEW: Korg KP3 Kaoss Pad - If you are into effects, you have to get one of these. It is one incredible piece of technology.
I also play the guitar. I do not have the high end ones. I have an Austin electric, and a Yamaha electric. I just received a Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster, and my last guitar will be an Ibanez Prestige Series. I also have a bunch of pedals including the BOSS ME-50.I am also very much into computer / handheld / and console games, hence the backgrounds on my site (which will change from time to time).
I am not interested in becoming a professional DJ. I am just having fun right now especially with the electronics. I will soon be completing a Masters Degree in Computer Engineering, and will be probably working for a very large electronic game company in Southern California. Right now, I work part time testing games. It is fun, but playing the same level over thousands of times can wear on one's soul. The job I will be taking when I get my degree will have to do with programming audio into computer games. This will not only include music, but will include special effects (in surround) including things from guns to explosions and more. What fun. It is hope I will be able to work in Vermont and travel to California when needed.
I am mostly curious about Myspace, and am not really into heavy .. chat stuff. Just seeing what people do, and maybe, from time to time, asking for some advice. I am also interested in the Myspace technology. The world is soon to evolve into the Serious Games world, and Myspace and other technologies are just a step in that direction. I accept anyone as a friend who is over 18, but one never knows anyway. I have nothing to sell, and really not all that much to offer. My last account was filled with very interesting people from all over the world. Over time with my last account, the mix of folks changed, but who cares. It was all quite interesting. I am looking to regain what I lost, and move forward with this account.
