ABOUT THE BAND.......About a year ago, ......... We had Rich and Mike on guitars Tony on bass and Gregg on the drums but we needed a singer. We were still going by the old band name. (see other blog) Along comes Shane. We had nothing written for this guy just a few covers. So we pulled out Awake by Godsmack and everyone just started fricken jamming. Immediatly we knew this guy was the shit cause we got a long great. The music just flowed from there. Hollow Eyes was born. From a bass riff to Greg throwing some drums and Mike and Rich adding cool riffs to blend...Shane wrote words for it and we knew than it was time to get this shit going.We needed a new band name. (see other blog) Well we decided on Hyngd. Between rewriting some of the old stuff we needed more songs. S.S.D., Yourself and now several more have been added. They're all done with the band agreeing and adding and re adding parts. Never a dull moment and lots of beer gets put away during these jams.The design was formed. "What is that?" Throw those letters together and hinge them together into a symbol. Between Mike and Rich we have a logo and its on the demo and all over myspace. (So they dont only play the guitar and sing backup vocals.) I should add Mike is the web man for www.hyngd.com and we all put our ideas into both sites.The Hyngd debut show went well. We did a few shows here and there and the only thing that seemed to be missing was the demo. So we recorded a 4 song demo to promote the hell out of. The response in those few months of them being up there is overwhelming. So the energy gets moved up a notch at the shows. A few local bars and a few great shows at The Chance in Poughkeepsie, Ny and the growing numbers on myspace has Hyngd working even harder in the jam room with more new tunes for more upcoming shows.So with a demo and all the support we figure its time to kick it into high gear. Battle of the Bands, Hyngd Socialburn show, and the Locobazooka in Mansfield MA. Headliners Alice in Chains, Buckcherry and Ra. The summer of '06!! We can't do it without you. And what can you do? Keep an eye on the show section and make the shows that you can. If your out of the area tell all you know about Hyngd. Tell them to come here and hit the Add request button and that we do talk to you if you talk to us. Why? Cause you love the music and you want to see us come to your town and rock the fuck out!!So there you have it. Hope you all know us a little better now.
