If ambition were too flourish with the same intensity in every man, that would spell mankind's doom

About Me

I'm originally from CT, although I haven't lived there for quite a while. I went to College in south Fl. studied fine art and minored in psychology. I'm in my 3rd year of graduate school in film production. I've taken an extended route to get where I am. Five years in undergrad, a year and half working & living with my parents, a year and a half traveling throughout New Zealand and a little in Australia. I lived out of my backpack for 16 months. The pictures on this site (although only 3) are from New Zealand.I was back in CT. for the summer and then left for California. Ever since I've been out here, I've been totally immersed in film. I'm always like that; whenever I get into something new, I completely throw myself into it, until eventually I move on to something else.Film is different for me, it's the first time I've been engrossed in something that allows me to draw on my other interests, beliefs, and past experiences. I just have to remember to keep living, that's where all the inspiration comes from. I hope this doesn't sound too pretentious.By the way, I don't really have this many friends, most of them wouldn't respond if I emailed them or left comments. I don't know how they got here. So when I get some time, I'm going to delete about half of them. Maybe that's a lot, maybe I'll only delete a quarter of them. My Interests

snowboarding, skiing, surfing, basketball, traveling, writing, directing, editing, acting, meditation, reading, watching movies, listening to music, hanging out with my friends and family, oh and stalking hot chicks on myspace (j/k)

I'd like to meet:

I don't have a specific kind of person I want to meet, I like meeting all sorts of new people. I especially like meeting people from different backgrounds than myself. A lot of people I've become really good friends with, appear completely different from me on the surface. Almost all of the best conversations I've had, happen just by chance, at a random time with a randam person. Sometimes of course it's with my good friends but it's still an unplanned moment. Whenever I try an anticipate meeting someone interesting or having an interesting conversation it rarely happens. The same is true for just having a good time. Whenever I've tried to create it or recreate it as the case may be, it doesn't happen. For sure, the best times for me are almost always unplanned. I hesitate to say "always" or "never" because then I end up eating the words, when something happens that "breaks the rules". However, contrary to that, often times right before the introduction to someone I think is meaningful, I do feel something that makes me think "something out of the ordinary is going to happen today". I don't know if that makes sense, maybe it just makes me sound crazy?
