About Me

I am a closet modernist and an ardent idealist. I have a much higher threshold for romanticism (note, that does not say romance) than the average postmodern artist of today. I tend to cry at sappy movies, Olympic medal ceremonies, and the occasional insurance commercial. I was never desensitized to violence. I intend to one day save the world. I truly believe that art serves as a vehicle for the education of the masses and that artists therefore have the ability to facilitate great changes. I also believe in the beneficial powers of chocolate, bubble baths, and peppermint tea and so try to incorporate them into my daily routine. I never really slow down, except while on vacation. I love it when I dont have to know what time it is, but those times are rare so I cherrish them greatly. One day, after I save the world, my life will be centered around tropical beaches, dark rum, and sturdy hammocks. Clocks will not be invited to my party. In the meantime, I am doing my part to help uphold society by economically supporting my local Irish pubs.

&nbsp

I moved from Raleigh, NC to DC in the summer of 2006. I am currently working at the Torpedo Factory Art Center as the graphic designer and gallery assistant. I love my job and I am inspired every time I set foot inside the building. However, I have just accepted a new job, and will be leaving the Torpedo Factory in January.

&nbsp

As of January, I will be the Gallery Director of Art Whino, the newest and best contemporary gallery in DC!

&nbsp

I love all things that make me smile such as puppies and glitter. I gravitate toward positive and passionate people. I find smart sexy, especially when combined with a beautiful smile and a brittish accent. I have a twin sister and a little sister, both of whom I adore. I will go back to graduate school once I have decided what to study. I love art, political theory, and philosophy and I am having trouble choosing. I am a painter and an amateur photographer. I am a bit of a nerd. I love to party.

I am a website genius! Well, I will be once I get it all working. Right now it's sort of like a clam shell with a piece of dirt inside. Give me a week, I promise to grow a pearl.
