About Me

My wonderful wife and I have been married over 11 yrs and have been together over 1/2 my life as we are high school sweethearts. We have 3 boys who say or do something every day that I find amazing and a baby girl who is going to be sick of pink very early in her life. I'm pretty sure they've taught me more than I have taught them but this girl thing is going to take some getting used to after 10 years of only boys. I have 1 brother and 2 sisters all younger - 1 sister being 17yrs younger-another reason for my gray hair. I attended Iowa State University and am now employeed by the country's 5th largest bank. I am officially an operational risk consultant though I technically don't start that for a few weeks. I coach my 2 older son's youth soccer teams and I'll be adding the 3rd one in the next year or so and I added flag football coach to resume this past year. Hopefully I'll be able to continue doing this for my kids and who knows someday maybe even my grandkis if all my body cooperates. I sing in our church choir (bass) and enjoy my bible study groups. If I'm not fishing, working, tossing or kicking around a ball with 1 of my boys, at church or coaching then chances are I'm at Walt Disney World which has become our family's 2nd home. I nearly broke the state record for a largemouth bass for the state of Iowa and I threw her back in hopes of catching her again and setting that record. I won the national 2003 NCAA mens basketball tournament bracket challenge on sportingnews.com (as I am currently using that grandprize to surf the net and enter this infoReverse the Curse

My Interests

Football - mainly the Eagles and NFL but also some college (go ISU!!) In high school I wore the number 12 in honor of my favorite Eagle of all time Randall Cunningham. With football comes fantasy football. I have been playing since 94 and I am a 2x CIFFL champion (5x runner up) and have won several other online leagues. I also enjoy bass fishing, golf, Cubs baseball - yes I have passed this curse onto my kids - I also do some fantasy baseball and have won a few leagues over the years but I don't take it too seriously since it takes so long, Bulls basketball - well not so much since the dynasty was broken up. Nascar - Bobby Labonte is the man; still the one and only to win Busch and Cup Championships!! Like playing cards mainly euchre and poker but hearts and spades will do too.

I'd like to meet:

Chris Tomlin for some guitar and voice lessons and to thank him for his additions to Amazing Grace. I'd love to be out on a boat with Mike Iaconelli and KVD for a little friendly competition and heck throw in the G-Man, Ish and Skeete too while we're at it just for good measure.

Music:

Every thing from Buddy Holly, CCR, Vanilla Ice, Garth, Eminem to everyone's favorite 80s group Devo. My Ipod is quite the eclectic collection ranging from the 50's and 60's to 80's and early 90's hip hop, lots of country (I used to manage a western store), 80's hairbands, disney music and a little alternative sprinkled in. But it's mostly full of Contemporary Christian artists. Some of my farvorites...Chris Tomlin, Jeremy Camp, Third Day, Casting Crowns, Aaron Shust, Stellar Kart, Rush of Fools, Relient K, Hawk Nelson, David Crowder Band, SCC, MWS and Mercy Me to name a few. Oh and I can't forget the GUMP Band (our church's praise and worship band).

Movies:

All of the Lord of the Rings, Indiana Jones, Pirates of the Carribean, Star Wars or National Lampoons Vacation movies; any Disney movie; Goonies, Caddy Shack (1 not 2 it sucked), Space Balls, National Treasure 1 & 2 , Office Space, Happy Gilmore, Time Bandits, Strange Brew....

Television:

Grew up on Dukes of Hazzard, A-Team and MASH and never missed Quantum Leap or X-Files but these days it's Sportscenter & pretty much anything on ESPN, ESPN 2, ESPNU or ESPNnews though I do find myself on Foodnetwork quite often for a throwdown or Iron Chef. Other wise my only must sees are 24, LOST, Supernatural, The Unit and any NFL game.

Books:

There are way too many to list but a few authors I read over and over are JRR Tolkein, Dan Brown, Chaucer, R A Salvatore, Vince Flynn, Clive Cussler, C S Lewis, John Steinbeck and any of the Da Vinci Code inspired religous thrillers. I got Why My Wife Thinks I'm an Idiot for Christmas - definately a must read for every married couple. I'm always reading and adding to my collection. Does Bassmaster magazine count?

Heroes:

Walt Disney; My Grandpas, Dad and uncles for serving their country and all the other service men and women who do the same.
