Metal Never Died

About Me

Broken Foundation/Myspace.com/San Diego Metal

Broken Foundation was formed in august 2003 when Chaotic Culture guitarist Dan Mulhern and vocalist Chris Halterman joined up with Teabag drummer Norm Leggio and guitarist Steve Cox.

Dan and Chris had been writing and performing together since the mid-90's, growing together musically in a handful of Chaotic lineups. Steve and Norm played together in Psychotic Waltz from 95' to 98' and had grown up admiring eachother's chops and goals. The goal of the new lineup was to meld modern metal with the golden age of hardcore. The chemistry was evident early with the completion of the first few songs. Perseverance and Art of War were written at this time and recorded in mid 2004.

Gigging started in march and the lineup was finalized in august with the addition of Joe Dreyer on bass. Filling out the set with re-worked chaotic and teabag material, the band has proven to be a contender in the tight-knit san diego scene. Writing continued for the full length debut that was released in late 2006.
