About Me

I like music. Rock n Roll for the mostpart. I love smart people, especially the ones that aren't so sure they're so smart because they're more fun to be around. I like to sing, especially with my band The High School Sweethearts. Random things that make me feel good: WFMU, spontaneous uninvited (or invited!) playing of the tambourine with bands I love, being able to walk gracefully in sky-hi sexy platform shoes, swimming in the ocean and being lifted by wave swells that are just about to break, the boardwalk, Berkeley Clam Bar, Playa del Carmen, parties that start in the afternoon that last long into the night. I deplore being lied to or misled, but fact is, it's hard to fool me because I have been cursed/blessed with a sixth, seventh, eighth and five hundredth sense. Secrets more or less can't be kept from me, I think that's just the way the universe likes it. I am trustworthy and don't share them though. Even the ones I have figured out myself without being told.

My Interests

Music mostly. All the other stuff I can at very least feign interest in for at least an hour or two.

I'd like to meet:

People that don't like to talk on the phone.

Music:

The Beatles, T Rex, Wings, The Misfits (they're pop songs!), NY Dolls, Heartbreakers, Ramones, Pistols, The Martinets, Neil Young, The Jam and once I say those, the zillion other bands you know I like..Alex Chilton and Big Star -but not as much as some people who would say Big Star, Bowie, Brill Building Gems by various artists, The Partridge Family, Mike Fornatale's 'An Uncommon Christmas Collection', it is truly incredible, it's Jan 11 and I can't bring myself to take the discs out of my player. [*Ok, it's now May , I took the christmas collection out of my player.] I LOVE GREAT ROCK N ROLL AND GREAT POP- but most of all, music that has elements of both, which is what I think often makes it 'great'.

Movies:

All Scorcese, All Mel Brooks especially High Anxiety, other than that , mostly old ones I'll never know the titles of.

Television:

Seinfeld, Odd Couple, Curb Your Enthusiasm, but I haven't watched TV since April. Now the cable is turned off so there is no picture....or sound...

Books:

The Great Gatsby. Not one superfluous word in that sucker.

Heroes:

in my 8th grade yearbook (it was parochial school, hence the 8th grade graduation) I put ALAN ALDA for my hero. What's up with that? I think I heard he was a feminist? and I liked MASH.... Alan Alda is fine but my real hero is my father.

My Blog

Foiled!

I have websense filters on the internet at my job. They finally rigged it so my space is blocked. Foiled again!!
