"Can’t stop, won’t stop." Thaddeus Dixon has lived by this mantra since his introduction to the music game. Born on the west-side of Detroit, Thaddeus grew up in a neighborhood which, at the time, was inhabited by great songwriters, musicians, producers, and artists such as Mario Winans, Michael Powell, Aaliyah, Anita Baker, J Dilla, and Tommy Flanagan just to name a few. With such a heavy r&b, jazz, gospel, and hip-hop presence right in his back yard, it was only a matter of time before Thaddeus himself knew what his passion and purpose in life was. Thaddeus Dixon has accomplished many important honors in his young illustrious career. He started playing the drums at the age of three. Thaddeus has also actively participated in the American Guild of Music competitions between ages 5 and 13. He qualified in both Regional and National Competitions and won first place in the majority of his contests. The Guild was very impressed with Thaddeus’ talent and for the first time ever, acknowledged that he has been the youngest member in their history to receive the highest awards for drum competitions. The awards include the North American Age Championship and the North American Invitational Championship Drum Finals in July of 1997 in Chicago, Illinois. In 2002, Thaddeus Dixon positioned himself to broaden his musical aspirations and pursue a higher education by attending Michigan State University where he received a full scholarship in the jazz studies program. While trying to endure a rigorous career as a musician, songwriter, producer, and student, Thaddeus managed time to perform, record, and or work with many of the worlds finest music, movie, and entertainment idols. In 2004, Thaddeus Dixon decided to broaden his business knowledge and experience in the music industry by landing a position with Universal Music Group as an intern representative which would provide more learning for him being that UMG was a major label. While meeting important people and making valuable connections, not only did Thaddeus have the knowledge that he was looking to gain, he had the illuminating passion that would drive him to start his own production company, Gusta’v Production’s Inc. Along with other producers, Thaddeus Dixon is continuously cranking out the inaugural hits that’s taking the music industry by storm and laying the foundation for building Gusta’v Production, Inc., a production company that is quickly becoming "THE" premier production and entertainment company. Today, nearly two years later, Gusta’v Production, Inc. is one of Detroit’s pre-eminent urban production companies, encompassing a broad range of business including recording, music publishing, artist management, television and film production, recording facility, marketing and advertising, and live show production. In five years, Gusta’v Productions, Inc. hope’s to forever change the entertainment industry by catapulting the music and style of urban youth culture into the American mainstream and creating what is considered by many to be one of the most important forces in entertainment.
