I MAKE FILMS.
I was born in NYC but live most of my life in Jersey City, NJ. I went to school for engineering at Stevens Tech in Hoboken, but decided that building bridges would be a bit dull so dropped out in my 3rd year and decided to persue my self-education in filmmaking. Don't get me wrong, I have much respect and love for mathematics, but it bothered me when (as much as it was gratifying to solve a very difficult Calculus problem) other students had the same answer. I needed something where I can create a piece of work that showed viewers the passion I had put into it. I was always good at drawing, so something in the arts was what I needed. Logistically, filmmaking was eventually the answer, the reason, I was searching for.
Okay, so fast-foward a few plus years: after shooting many short films, I started a film company 'Lucky Cat Films' under 'The Creative Capitalist Movement, Inc'- which is more than just a company. So I continued filming, writing, producing but now I'm in that point where it's a grind that seems to go nowhere fast. I needed a big change in my life. It was now where I must take that Leap of Faith. So as of 04-2007 I quit my job at the Post Office and relocated to another country.
So, currently I am living in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Before leaving the U.S. I started making rap videos for local rap guys. As much as that may be lucrative in the future, I felt that it was keeping me from my original plan-- TO MAKE FILMS. Don't get wrong, if I got an offer to direct the next Pharell video, I'm there. But that wasn't the case in Jersey City, NJ at the present moment. What IS present (and waiting) and the main reason I am here in Amsterdam is so I can finally edit my long awaited film RUSH. Shot back in 2001, it's the film that's been burning in me to finish, but was never able to cause of doing videos for friends and etc.
Here is the trailer for the film. I know most of you (friends) have seen this hundreds of times. Well, to let you all know I'm here working on it and am not coming home until it is done.
