About Me

Jason begat QstandsforQ in early 2000, spawned by the Q he had seen floating in his dreams; It soon made its way onto his homespun hoodie lapel and into the music he was spewing forth in incessant waves.
The next year he was introduced to Sara, and began a love affair in music and art and life. Many creations have been spawned, including a son.
Since then QsfQ has seen many facets and facades... including musical collaborations with sleeping toys, eavesdropped conversations and an enchanted elf-boy named Byron Owens.
Live performances usually feature Jason on acoustic guitar and vocals, Sara on keys and vocals and Byron on the musical saw. They also sometimes perform as a 5-piece, featuring Kurt Cochran and Bret Layton on bass and drums, respectively.
They have been seen in Salt Lake Magazine (June 2007), in SLUG Magazine (Feb. 2007) , and have been spotlighted by IN Magazine and CityWeekly.
In January of 2007, their song, "Kill or Be Killed" reached number 1 on Gothic Paradise's Ethereal Radio; The album, "in dreams awake" was praised highly.
SLUG magazine also had some nice things to say about their album (...read what they said) .
They have performed at the Dark Arts festival in Salt Lake City (2006 & 2007), for Cabaret Macabre (2006), as well as for the Sundance Film Festival (2006).
Artists they have shared the stage with include: Hungry Lucy, Bloodwire, In Gowan Ring/Birch Book, Carphax Files, The Stares, Tragic Black, Non Non, Hellbound Saints, Mortal Clay, Machine Gun Symphony, Red Flag, The Eden Express, Redemption, Domiana, Two Gallants, Holy Ghost Revival, iberis, Bombs and Beating Hearts, Subrosa, Felina, Adeitia, The CJ Boyd Sexxxtet, Calico, Theta Naught, Our Dark Horse, Bob Moss, and many other talented musicians.
Currently, they are working on their next full-length album, expected to be released in 2008.
