Somewhere along the way I diverted from the path that I had chosen for myself and stopped to look at the flowers, sit and look up at the sky, trying to make figures out of the clouds. I only wanted to stop for a short while, however the longer I sat on the green grass the more I forgot about my path. Many people traveled the path that I was on. Some waved as they kept pressing on, others stopped to chat with me about the path they were taking and what they were planning to do once they reached the end of their path. Others sat next to me in the grass, gazing up at the clouds and together we dreamed about the path we would take together. I met several friends along this path. Some stayed for only a short while and others stayed for many years. Only recently have I woken from my dream and looked around. Was I meant to stay so long on this path? Was I on the same path but had taken a shortcut without realizing it, not knowing that if I kept pressing on my path would lead to what I wanted?I am lost it seems. At times I fear the unknown path when it gets so dark that I can not press on. Only staying where I am until the light returns so that I might press on just a little further. Other times I run down the dark path laughing, knowing that I may or may not get hurt.And so I stay on this path that I will follow until I come back to my main path, if there is one. I was not given a map. I have no idea where my path may lead me, my only map I have made up is of dreams that some I have discarded by the wayside and others I keep close to me like a compass.So if you see me on my path and choose to stay, please sit for a spell and we can talk about your dreams, make designs in the clouds and perhaps, we can venture together on the path.
