Conscious Mind

Conscious Mind fuses classical, jazz, ambient, and rock into a unique sound that is cinematic and ethereal. David Atwell is the musician and artist behind the project of Conscious Mind. As a composer, singer, and songwriter his music is a collection of transcendental instrumental compositions as well as songs with mystical lyrics that are expressions of awareness, humanity, and the environment.
As an artist David enjoys drawing, painting, and writing creating his own artwork and album cover designs that aid in expressing the musical concepts of Conscious Mind.
" The Source " is Conscious Mind's most recent CD which is currently in production. The Source is still evolving but all twenty four tracks can be previewed on the website listening station.
It is a double CD containing twelve instrumentals and twelve songs written and performed by David Atwell with guest appearances from various musicians and artists including Dwight Dunlap and Beth Mankel. .
"One" is his first instrumental CD released under Free World Records in 1997 which can be previewed and ordered at Consciousmind.com as well as Amazon.com.
" ONE " is a musical journey moving through different levels of consciousness and emotions from the mental constructs of creation through the manifestation of liberation. It is an expression of oneness, universal love, and awareness.
From beginning to end the compositions explore a variety of sound scapes using original keyboard and piano melodies with a heavy emphasis on different layers of percussion.
