Groovy Folk Goodness

About Me

Laurelle is a soulful singer songwriter currently honing her craft in Edmonton Alberta. Singing for as long as she can remember and composing songs since the tender age of 8, Laurelle is absolutely dedicated to creating amazing music for her listeners (as you will hear). Finding her niche with the Guitar as her second voice at 16 she's developed her contemporary folk and jazz sound over the last 9 years or so. Falling comfortably into a category somewhere between Norah Jones and Sarah Harmer, she's utilizing her extensive musical talent to bring us her down to earth view of the world around and within us."At times reminiscent of a young Joni Mitchell, Young's material also includes hints of Tracey Chapman, or even Sarah McLachlan - but with her own style stamped into every cut." Andre Wetjen, Prime Cuts/The Daily Courier (Kelowna)"I had the distinct feeling that I was in the presence of greatness soon to be recognized by the world. Well done!" Cheryl Gelinas (an avid fan)"The sensual ruler of the slow burn." Bill Bourne Myspace Backgrounds
