About Me

How I made my profile:
I used MyWackoSpace.com 's amazing MySpace Editor .
Loft Concerts is sold and gone. Below is what we used to do. This is a home that hosts small performances in our living room. Hosted on Friday evenings, we can accommodate 8 shows a year with summers off. We have fewer seats than our occupancy limit, however, it is quite possible to comfortably stand at the kitchen island and enjoy the show. The space is large enough to not be claustrophobic yet small enough to create an intimate atmosphere. Loft Concerts is primarily about enjoying music and appreciating what the the artist is doing on stage. Please respect those around you and their desire to hear the music by keeping conversations to a minimum during the performance.
Please be aware that this is a non-smoking home and that we have two cats.
Doors open at 7:00 and the show starts at 8:00. As we live in a condo apartment with neighbours we must close at 11:00. Building access is via an intercom system that is difficult to hear during the show and could potentially interrupt the artists performance, therefore it is not fashionable to be late.
Admission is by reservation only with a suggested cash donation of $20 at the door. Be sure to bring an extra $20 so you can buy a CD at the end of the night. Please indicate which show you are interested in and how many will be in your party.
As there is limited space we do require advanced notice of your attendance and last minute requests may not be possible. If you confirm your attendance, please ensure that you do attend or advise us at least 48 hours ahead of time that you will not be able to attend. No shows at the last minute make it impossible to provide spaces for those on the wait list. Guest entrance is at our sole discretion.
Except for expenses all donations from each show go directly to the artist. We should underscore that supporting house concerts/loft concerts is a tangible way of directly supporting the arts in our community.
We are pleased to have our concerts photographed by Leroy Schulz .

Located in the Warehouse District of downtown Edmonton, Loft Concerts over looks Grant MacEwan College and the skyline of the business district of the city. Close to pubs, restaurants, and lounges means that you can go out for dinner prior to the show and relax at a lounge at the end of the night.
Seventh Street Lofts , the structure that contains our home, has been recognized with an Award of Excellence in both the 2005 Edmonton Urban Design Awards and the 2006 Prairie Design Awards .
