I am here for Friends

About Me

I'm having a great time right now. After living in exile around the country for years, I have triumphantly returned to the city. Just a Yankee boy surrounded by friends and family. My values have matured like a fine wine with age. I love drama, but not in my personal life. If you meet me, you'll find yourself laughing really hard and not really knowing why. Life is all about adventure and creativity. I treat my friends with honesty and loyalty and strangers with kindness. Oh, and I sue large corporations for screwing people out of their pensions. Unfortunately, it's a lucrative growth industry. In sum, I'm so fantastic that any minute now I hope to transform into pure energy (ironic egoism intended)

My Interests

Every day the colors are a little brighter; I notice the soft breath of the breeze; the uncomfortable hip twist of the girl getting hit on by a gel-haired b&t. I'm not that religious, it's just a funny picture.

I'd like to meet:

I couldn't tell you. I seem to know how to meet wonderful women, just not the wonderful woman for me. I should open up a dating service for better men than I. Wit and beauty are assumed, I just need that woman with that special something about her. Only in dreams, you'll see what it means.

Music:

Rock & Rap; Howard Stern. Jazz, classical, old school hard rock. Radiohead, U2.

Movies:

Last of the Mohicans, Hero.

Television:

The Daily Show, Lucky Louis! Rome, Deadwood, The Sopranos, Ali G, Seinfeld, Jeopardy! (don't judge me).

Books:

Vonnegut, Hemingway, I'm open to suggestions.

Heroes:

My Dad. My Mom. Corny but true.

Earth Day

The sun reared her beautiful head, finally--changing the minds and demeanors of hitharo sharp-minded, winter embittered New Yorkers throughout the park.  So, I decided to see how the other half l...

The Rise of the Cult of Maternity

Many people are outraged about the war in Iraq.  They have many reasons and come from many different points of view.  All of our offense may unite, however, under one disgusted umbrella, reg...

Resurgem

I slept all afternoon, making this afternoon "today" and this morning "yesterday."  I don't mind fucking with time because that son-of-a-bitch loves to fuck with all of us.  When I woke up, ...

Good morning, Vietnam!

Sitting alone in a room brightening from first light.  Somehow the sunrise punctuates my ongoing struggle with nature (so far at 100 hours), and this whole arbitrary day-night distinction.  ...

Cops

Studying puts me into the oddest hours.  I would analogize it best to marathon competitive eating. You just engorge yourself until you can't take anymore; break until you think you can stomach it...

Lemons into Lemonade

Last night I took a late train to Washington DC.Upon arrival, I flipped on the TV to relax, and there was the usual treasure of late-night crap. I find it soothing to turn lemons into lemonade. In a ma...

A Summertime Compass

All good humor is funny. All Good Humor® is cheap. Funny is cheap--      life can be easy.     Don't like my poem? Well, you get what you pay for....

If you're in New York

If you ever find yourself in New York, and a stranger talks shit to you, (this happens a lot), turn to your friend, and say, "It's so nice not to be recognized." Walk on....

Maturity

Yesterday it was a beautiful sunny day and I found myself in Cedar Park (this is a small part of Central Park on the Upper East Side for you non-New-Yorkers). While walking my brother's dog, Kiwi (cut...

Graduation

Today I officially graduated from law school. The experience was surreal like all days intended to be of momentous occasion. I felt oddly disappointed by my familys general indifference to the affair....
