Dave Sandford is a 27 year old DJ residing in London, his musical roots started with indie and like many other people moved over to techno with the help of cross-over acts like The Prodigy and Chemical brothers. His formative years were spent on the dancefloors of seminal liverpool based clubs Bugged Out and Voodoo with the occassional roadtrip to other citys.
After a brief spell living in london and working for the Ill fated 'Home' he moved to Leeds to go to university, it was here he got involved in the industry promoting and DJ'ing at the short lived but popular 'Spin' parties. With Spin he brought acts such as Umek, Justin Robertson,fungus the bongie man, Agoria, FC Kahuna and The Youngsters along with local talent with the music policy always involving the more leftfield electronic house and techno sounds around at the time.
After the demise of 'Spin' Dave concentrated on DJ'ing as one half of DAT Elektronique with like minded DJ Tom Craven, as a duo Tom and Dave played all over the countrys harvesters picking up a residency at the increasingly popular Dirty Disco in leeds s well as Midlands underground haven Below.
After being offered a solo residency at We Love sundays at space for Dave Beers electric ladyland project Dave and Tom decided to part company and persue their careers individually. Since then Dave has finished two succesful residencys in Ibiza at space seeing him play in all three rooms giving him a chance to show his flexibility as a DJ, he has also continued his residency at Dirty Disco Leeds and picked up another at Familia in london, the past year has seen him play Goa Club (Rome), Below (Birmingham) Circo Loco (London) Ministry of Sound (london) Snowbombing (austria) Media (nottingham) along with many other nights up and down the country, he is also a regular face at the infamous Kubicle afterhours in London.
