The band FAIRYTALE was founded in 2000 by Colin Brinker (g.), David Engel (d.) and Frank Buchta (b.) in the city of Recklinghausen, Germany. Many personal changes later the band became a solid unit in 2006, when guitarist Veith Offenbaecher and singer Sascha Rose joined them.
By playing many gigs, not only in the area of Recklinghausen, the musicians have gained the reputation of being an excellent live-band. The latest CD is called "Book of fairytales" and offers an independent mixture somewhere between Heavy- and Speed-Metal.
FAIRYTALE have already played as support for well-known acts like ROCK CLASSIC ALLSTARS, MOB RULES, RAGE, SYMPHORCE, TANKARD, CUSTARD and PUBCOP.
Veith left the band in 2006 to play with "Dawn Of Destiny".
In 2008, David also left the band, because of work, and Christopher Instenberg joined Fairytale as the new drummer.
With Mirko Lersch Fairytale finally found the new second guitarist, so this year the band can spread its epic Metal message in unity.

Die Band FAIRYTALE wurde anno 2000 von Colin Brinker (g.), David Engel (d.) und Frank Buchta (b.) in Recklinghausen gegründet. Zahlreiche Umbesetzungen ließen die Band erst 2006 mit dem Einstieg von Gitarrist Veith Offenbächer und Sänger Sascha Rose zu einer Einheit werden.
Durch zahlreiche Konzerte, nicht nur im Kreis Recklinghausen, haben sich die Musiker einen Ruf als hervorragende Live-Band erarbeitet. Die aktuelle CD der Band heißt "Book of fairytales" und bietet einen eigenständigen Mix zwischen Heavy- und Speed-Metal.
FAIRYTALE waren schon als Support für namhafte Acts wie ROCK CLASSIC ALLSTARS, MOB RULES, RAGE, SYMPHORCE, TANKARD, CUSTARD oder PUBCOP aktiv.
Veith verliess uns dann Ende 2006, und stieg bei Dawn Of Destiny ein.
Anfang 2008 ging dann auch David, aus beruflichen Gründen, und Christopher Instenberg wurde der neue Fairytale Drummer.
Mit Mirko Lersch haben wir nun endlich auch den zweiten Gitarristen gefunden, so dass wir dieses Jahr wieder als komplette Band unsere epische Metal message verbreiten können !
