Im Januar 1999 wurde die Melodic-Prog-Metalband Transnight von den drei Marler Musikern Christoph (Gitarre), Daniel (Drums) und Sonja (Keyboards) gegründet. Alle verfolgten das gleiche Ziel, das darin bestand melodischen Metal mit progressiven Einflüssen zu verwirklichen.Dieses Ziel wird auch bis heute beibehalten und das Line-up komplettierte sich mit Markus (Bass). Die erste offizielle Demo-CD wurde von Michaela, die Mitte 2004 hinzustieß, eingesungen und erhielt gute Kritiken seitens der Presse und des Publikums.Seit März 2005 hat Transnight mit Oliver zum ersten Mal einen Mann am Mikro und es folgte die zweite Demo-CD im Mai 2005. Die Gesangsarrangements für die Stücke wurden zuvor intensiv überarbeitet.März 2008 stieß dann Dave hinzu, der auch vorher schon als Frontmann im Heavy Metal berüchtigt war. Man arbeitet gerade an neuen Songs im härteren Gewand. Die Keyboards wurden vollkommen abgestellt und man wendet sich düstereren Gefilden im Gegensatz zum poppigeren Rock des ersten Full-Length-Albums „Between The Worlds“ zu. Transnight absolvierten seit dem Jahr 2002 einige Auftritte im Ruhrgebiet, welche auf gute Resonanzen stießen. Ein Höhepunkt war der erste Platz beim Newcomerfestival in Herten im November 2002. Live präsentiert Transnight ein Programm, das von balladesken über kraftvolle Parts bis hin zu Thrash-Rhythmen reicht.

Starting January 1999 the melodic prog metal band Transnight was formed by the three musicians Christoph (guitar), Daniel (drums) and Sonja (keyboards) from Marl, Germany. They all had the same ambition that was to combine Metal with progressive Influences. This is still today’s goal and the line-up got completed with Markus (bass). The first official demo cd was sung by Michaela who joined in the middle of 2004 and got good critics by the press and the audience. Since March 2005 Transnight had their first male vocals with Oliver and the second demo cd followed in May 2005. The vocal arrangements for the tracks were overworked intensively before. March 2008 Dave joined the band who was was known as front man in heavy metal. They are just working on new songs in a harder outfit. The keyboards were completely abolished and the band faces darker fields in opposition to the poppy rock of the first full length release “Between The Worldsâ€. Transnight made some shows around the Ruhrgebiet area in Germany that were well accepted. A highlight was the first place at the newcomer festival in Herten in November 2002. At live shows Transnight presents a program that leads from powerful parts to thrash rhythms.
