In the beginning…
We are a Heavy Metal Band from Recklinghausen in NRW, Germany.
Founded in 1996, we emerged from different line ups (formerly Widdershins). Sadly, almost none of
the original band members (WS) remain today.
Since the band members hail from different musical styles, Progressive-, Thrash-, Nu-Metal, the musical
style of Anthology is to be defined somewhere in between.This is due to the continuity and experience
of the band members, who all played in mentionable bands like Mysterious Lands, Dorian Grey or Crypt.We stand for a gripping and good live performance, which we already proved along top acts like Vendetta, Perzonal War, Contradiction or international bands. Another proof of the band’s experience and fun to perform.It’s sure to say that we/Anthology have garnered a reputation with bookers and the like, concerning our reliability and involvement.The audience’s fun in front of our stage is further proof of our words, also reflecting in rising numbers of fans….tendency rising… ;-)…if you want to watch us perform live, please feel free to go to our concerts,
