Jackal A.K.A Sibu-Hay is a native of “Africa”. Born into a musical family, Jackal was exposed to many different kinds of music at an early age (From Traditional Afrikans rhythms, Reggae, R&B, Hip-hop and more). He was embraced by Hip-hop during a South Saharan Sand Storm in 1982. He saw his first Hip-Hop video “The Message” by Grand Master Flash and Furious 5 ". In 1987 at the rough age of 13, Jackal copped his first to Hip-hop cassette {Paid in Full} by Erick B & Rakim. Man! This cassette type was a before & after school activity for the kid. He almost drove his Mom, crazy from trying to memorize the entire cassette. In 1989 a civil war broke out in (Liberia, West Afrika) his native land. He spends about 2.5yrs in the war before escaping to the Ivory Coast in 1991. During those rough times Hip Hop was still with him. In June of 91 Kamara/Family arrived in NYC. A year later he moved to Trenton, NJ Jackal brings that raw Soulful, Intellect, Jungle/Ghetto, Political Lyrics, to our Hip-hop Culture. You know that REAL HIP-HOP!
