"Some say The Myths are an original rock band that's been together in various incarnations since 1991.
Others argue that The Myths are nothing more than a a bedtime story meant to keep naughty children in line.
Still others swear hearing the sounds of wondrous guitar riffs emanating from secluded basements only to find the same locales eerily silent when they investigated further...
The story goes that two of the members went to the same school and met the third from a neighboring village.
Reliable sources indicate that one of the three made millions helping a Nigerian exile invest money in American banks while another was stricken with bad luck for failing to pass on an e-mail chain letter.
Another spent two years in a backwater hospital after foolishly guzzling several gallons of a soda/Pop Rocks candy concoction.
The third member was found passed out in a hotel room just across the railroad tracks.
He awoke in an ice filled bathtub with one of his kidneys missing. Rumor has it that the organ fetched a handsome sum on eBay. There have been tales of a mysterious fourth member who has claw-like appendages but no proof has been submitted.
While one can speculate as to the real origins of The Myths, the undeniable truth is that this group creates passionate and energetic music that stir the listener to hum the hooks of their melodies over and over.
Last I heard they were driving around together at night with their headlights off waiting for someone to flash their lights back at them.
