Being around people, forging relationships, reading good literature or a good story in general, watching movies, writing when I can and when I'm inspired (but most of the time because I have to), drinking red wine by the bottle with SK, travelling (or dreaming about travelling, talking about it), definitely talking (love it), Westy's hot fudge pies, soccer (if I had time still). There are others, so why don't you ask me?
If you're good at talking and great at listening, then you.
can i just give the generic answer of "listens to all kinds of music" ? that would be the truth, albeit a boring answer. I will admit, however, that I have taken a liking to musicals of late (she says as if daring anyone to say something). I also like to listen to CCR when I go running and Bulraga when I write papers sometimes. Oh yeah, and Flogging Molly in the car when no one can hear me botch the words all up at the top of my lungs. Does that help?
I'm pretty much hooked on CSI Las Vegas and Law & Order SVU. I don't watch many other shows with the same regularity as I do these.
Wide Sargasso Sea by Jean Rhys. I also like Ishiguro novels. They have a psychological factor that will mess with your head. Oh yeah, and this author more popular in Ireland than here, Robert McLiam Wilson and his novel Eureka Street. Pay attention to Chapters 10 and 11 especially; brilliant and captivating writing. I have also discovered Wilkie Collins, a contemporary of Dickins, who wrote a page-turning cliff-hanger called The Woman in White which simultaneously infuriated me and compelled me to finish with some alacrity. I liked it a lot, though. I'm sure there are others, but they escape me right now.
